Hi, my name is Barra and I am a UX/UI Designer currently designing for the marketing department of Testbirds.

I graduated from University College Cork, Ireland in 2020 with an MSc in Interactive Media where I specialised in User Centered Design and both designed and developed an interactive PWA for university students in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary university team.

I do my best work with collaborative and ambitious teams who value User Centered Design and understand the value of investing in design to improve all aspects of products and experiences.

I like collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds to tackle problems that can be solved by inclusive and user-centered design . I thrive in pro-active teams that value inclusive and ethical design.

I have been involved in the UX industry since 2018 where I have worked as a UX Researcher and Consultant for a range of large, worldwide, blue-chip clients. Since 2020, my focus has been in the UX/UI design space where my true passion is to produce creative solutions to problems through interactive prototypes, visual storytelling, research, branding, accessible design and scaleable design systems.

In my free time, you can probably find me exploring art exhibitions, travelling, sketching, playing video games or hoping for clear weather to ride my motorcycle.
